Hurrah! It is Open Studio Season again!
I was going to start this post with "the sun is out and studio is open"... but alas, it is pouring with rain but I'm sure a bit if wet weather never dampened peoples' enthusiasm for a nosy around some studios.
This year, the Arches Studios in Southampton have teamed up with the other Southampton Studios; Red Hot Press, Tower House and Unit 11 and have created an Open Studio Trail! All four studios will be open for two consecutive weekends and visitors will be able to walk the trail between them! How Exciting!!

Who’s involved?
Red Hot Press- SO14 3FE: Southampton’s fine art print workshop. During the Open Studios Trail we will be hosting an exhibition of work by members of Red Hot Press and have framed and unframed original artwork for sale, plus cards, books, badges and other printed ephemera.
Arches Artists’ Studios - SO14 3FE: The Arches Artists’ Studios gives emerging artists a base from which they can develop and grow their practices. Come along and see the studio holders at work. There will
be an exhibition of selected work by The Arches Studio holders in Arch 4 at The Old Cattle Market..
Tower House - SO14 2NY: Tower House is part of the creative working space provided in the city by a space arts. Tower House diversifies the affordable workspace available in the city through offering clean work space for creative practice.
unit11studios - SO14 0QB: unit11studios is a not-for-profit artists’ collective providing affordable studio space for local artists. During Southampton Open Studios Trail you will have the opportunity to visit working artists’ studios and see the work of residents, both in progress and finished.
