I know this post is a few days late, but we are still enjoying our pumpkin lantern, so I had to take his photo and post it. We went simple with our design!
This was the first time I've carved one - when i was a child, we carved swedes (turnips) and it was really hard work. I remember bruised hands from scooping the insides out with a blunt spoon. Ahh... those where the days of apple bobbing and apple dumpling!

There are fire works tomorrow night in Winchester and i'm excited! Looking forward to dressing up warm and taking part in the candlelit procession through the city.
